Portfolio Manager

After graduating from The Ohio State University with a BS in Economics and completing work and studies at Georgetown University's Institute for Comparative and Political Systems, I worked about 10 years in finance and banking. After an intermission to start a family, and a season as a hospital Chaplain, I came back to finance and earned the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor^® (APMA) designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Today, I bring 15+ years of financial services experience to the team*, including experience with both retail and institutional clients. I've done extensive work in economics and credit analysis.

My background in economics and credit analysis provides keen insight supporting Cornerstone's fixed-income research. My analytical skills and attention to detail make me a natural fit to manage investments and to trade portfolios for DWA clients. I bring 4 years of experience in operational services using a variety of trading platforms.

I live with my wife Juli in the Houston, TX area. We have two adult sons, David and Paul, attending local colleges. I served with the Boy Scouts George Strake District as a Unit Commissioner and District Advancement Coordinator for about ten years, mentoring over 150 scouts to the rank of Eagle. I continue to provide chaplaincy support in local hospitals through the Global Methodist Church. When I am away from my desk, I love to roll on the Brazilian jiu-jitsu mat, where I compete 4 to 5 times a year in the IBJJF.
